Privacy policy

This policy explains how Lyts Technologies Inc. (“Lyts”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through lyts.link. It covers this marketing website only. It does not cover the Lyts product workspace, which is governed by a separate agreement with each customer.

We are a Canadian business and we treat the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as the governing framework for this site, together with any substantially similar provincial legislation that applies to you.

This site has no accounts, no logins, and no database. The only personal information we collect is what you type into one of our forms and submit:

• Get started request: full name, work email, practice or firm, role, and the optional note describing what you would use Lyts for.
• Contact form: name, email, subject, and your message.

The sign-in page on this site does not authenticate anyone, and the password field is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

Please do not send confidential client information, personal information about third parties, or suspicious transaction details through these forms.

We use what you submit to:

• reply to your question or request;
• set up and administer your practice account;
• send you occasional updates about the product, which you can stop at any time.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Form submissions are delivered by a third-party form processing service. That provider receives the contents of your submission in order to route it to our inbox, and may process or store it outside Canada.

This site is served by a third-party hosting provider. Hosting providers routinely process technical request data such as IP addresses for security and delivery purposes.

We will tell you who our current providers are, and where they operate, if you ask. Write to hello@lyts.link.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Nothing here tracks you across other sites, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

If we add privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics later, this section will name the provider, the data it collects, where it is processed, and how to opt out, and the date at the top of this page will change to match.

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond and to set up your account, and no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you become a customer or ask us to keep them longer. After that they are deleted from our inbox and from the form provider.

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. We limit access to submissions to the people who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under PIPEDA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, provide access to it, correct it, or delete it. You may also withdraw consent to further contact at any time.

Write to hello@lyts.link and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.
